How to get the most natural breast augmentation results

When having a breast augmentation procedure, most women would prefer to get results that look as natural as possible. A/Prof Marucci aims to create the most natural result for each of his patients.
When planning a breast augmentation, there are a variety of different choices to make. Certain options are more likely to lead to a natural result. If you want your breast augmentation to look natural, how can you best achieve this? What factors might you want to consider while planning your procedure?
Size
If you prefer a natural-looking result, then you should choose implants that are proportional to your overall figure. If you’re slim, then very large implants will not look natural on you. A more modest size increase will create a feminine silhouette that still matches the rest of your figure. Implants that are too large can also create an excessive stretch on the tissues around them, which increases the risk of complications.
In addition to the overall volume of the implant, the surgeon must consider the appropriate height and width for the implant. This is determined by the size of your chest wall. A/Prof Marucci takes careful measurements in order to determine the correct height and width. Based on conversations with you about your desired results, he will then be able to determine the implant volume that would be most likely to achieve the breast size that you prefer.
Implant placement
Implants can be placed above or below the chest muscles. In general, for most women, placing the implant below the muscle will give a more natural result. This is because the muscle adds an extra layer of tissue coverage over the implant, which helps to soften its edges and disguise any rippling that may occur. For thin women, this extra tissue coverage is particularly important in creating a good result.
There are specific situations in which it may be desirable to place the implants above the muscle. Women who are weightlifters or bodybuilders may encounter an issue known as “motion artifact” or “animation deformity”. When the implants are placed below the muscle, and the chest muscles are activated strongly, the implants may move in an unnatural way. Motion artifact will not generally be a significant issue for most women, but those who strongly activate these muscles on a regular basis may prefer to avoid it by having the implants placed above the muscle. For most women, however, placement below the muscle will create a more natural result.
Implant type
Silicone implants look and feel more natural than saline implants will. This is because silicone more closely resembles the look, feel, and bounce of natural breast tissue. If you’re seeking the most natural result, then silicone implants are a better choice than saline implants. A/Prof Marucci exclusively uses silicone implants for his patients.
Implant shape
There are both shaped and round silicone implants available. Shaped implants are larger at the bottom than at the top, to mimic the shape of the natural breast when a woman is standing upright. Round implants are symmetrical all around.
Which one creates a more natural result depends on the situation. Some women prefer shaped implants because they create a shape that is more similar to that of a natural breast. Very thin women who have very little fat and other tissues on the breast may find that shaped implants look more natural.
However, shaped implants are also fixed in the breast and cannot respond to gravity. A round implant will move when the woman changes positions, just as natural breast tissue does. Some women believe that round implants look more natural, for this reason. Those who enjoy activities like dancing or yoga may be more concerned about the ability of their implants to respond to gravity and might want to choose round implants.

The choices that you make when planning your procedure affect the likelihood that you will end up with the natural result that you’re looking for. As you can see, there is no one right answer for every woman. It’s important to take into consideration each woman’s body shape and size as well as her lifestyle, in order to make the best decisions for her particular case.
